Charman Road Pharmacy offers pharmacist consultations for eligible patients experiencing certain skin conditions under the Victorian Community Pharmacist Program.


Our pharmacists can assess your symptoms, discuss appropriate management options and determine whether pharmacist management or referral to another healthcare provider may be required.


Appointments are conducted in a private consultation room and provide convenient access to healthcare support close to home.

Skin Condition Consultations


Our pharmacists may be able to assess eligible patients presenting with certain skin conditions, including:

  • Mild Plaque Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a common skin condition that may cause red, inflamed or scaly patches of skin. Some patients experiencing a mild flare-up of previously diagnosed plaque psoriasis may be suitable for pharmacist assessment.


  • Shingles (Herpes Zoster)

Shingles is caused by the reactivation of the chickenpox virus and can cause a painful rash, often affecting one side of the body.


  • Impetigo (School Sores)

Impetigo is a common and highly contagious skin infection that most commonly affects children, although it can occur at any age.


Eligibility for pharmacist assessment will be determined during your consultation.

Conditions That May Be Assessed

Some patients experiencing symptoms of eligible skin conditions may be suitable for assessment by a participating pharmacist.


Eligibility is determined by the pharmacist during your consultation in accordance with Victorian Community Pharmacist Program requirements and approved clinical protocols.


Assessment may take into consideration:

  • Your symptoms
  • Medical history
  • Current medicines
  • Previous diagnosis or history
  • Other relevant health information


Not all patients will be suitable for pharmacist management. Depending on your circumstances, referral to a doctor or another healthcare provider may be recommended.

What Happens During a Consultation?
